My name is Chris Vaughan and I live in New York City. I grew up in South Jersey, about 20 minutes from Philadelphia, and was raised by a single mother. She worked incredibly hard to provide for me and my sister, and while it wasn’t always easy for us, my upbringing provided me with perspective on how access to resources can impact a person’s life.

After losing my father (Chris Vaughan Sr.) as a teenager, this perspective was given new meaning, and increasingly underpinned my motivations: I wanted to understand how resources are allocated (i.e. economics) and how that system impacts our society more broadly. With this interest, I went to college, studied finance and IST, and managed to land a job on Wall Street.

During my time working directly in the financial markets, I:

• Sold Fixed Income Securities (picture a trading floor… that's where I worked)
• Lead Solutions Architecture Initiatives (problem-solving was literally my job)
• Worked on Multinational Data Systems (using certifications across AI, blockchain, and cloud-related concepts)
• Formally Taught Economics to Dozens (in both academic and professional contexts)

My time on Wall Street was successful in fulfilling the reason I went to it in the first place: I learned why our society operates the way it does, and I want to put that understanding to use. How do I plan to do this? Well, read below.

Via my media platform and Wall Street Radical (my livestream where I discuss politics / economics / life), I hope to shift our society’s attitudes and understandings, and, in doing so, change society itself.

Why is this necessary?

1. Our Discourse is Broken: You exist in a world which has experienced decades of Cold War hysteria… do you believe that this has had no significant impact on our ability to constructively discuss our society? Our conversation on economics and politics is in the gutter, and I’m sick of it.
2. Similar Perspectives Are Inaccessible: Those with professional backgrounds similar to my own are obligated to use their insights only in the scope of their employment. I suffer no such obligation.
3. WE CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER: You are not crazy - material conditions are worsening. The cause of this, though, is not DEI, or immigrants, or trans people - the operative cause is our society's system of power: one where you lack a say over your own life.

Basically, I could never shut up about the issues above, so I decided to make a career out of it.

And I am just getting started.
